Gabriel Inia
Kia Ora Koutou Katoa,
My name is Gabriel Inia. I am 15 years of age and currently attending Tamaki College in Glen Innes Auckland. I was born in Rotorua but have been living in Auckland since 2006. I attended Point England School before Tamaki College and this has opened up many opportunities for me. Especially this one!

Interests - I have a huge passion for sports and technology. I play for the school basketball team, and captain for our U15 rugby team. My life practically revolves around sport. I also have another huge passion for technology. This is because my life has revolved around tech and it has helped me to become the person I am today, especially with my school work. I have had a part time job at school being a Guru at our own Geek Cafe.

Current Accomplishments - I have had a few major accomplishments in my life. I have travelled to England for rugby with the New Zealand All Sports Academy. We went on a 3 week holiday to play Rugby 7's. This was a trip and a half. Technology, like I have stated before, I was a geek guru at Geek Cafe here at school. I have been apart of the project from our community called Manaiakalani. This gives us opportunities to work using our Chromebook, and learn around the clock, and have access to my learning 24 hours, 7 days a week.

Goals For Future - I have not really thought of what I wanted to achieve in the future but I see myself down the line in ten years time. I see myself as a police officer working for our very own Glen Innes police centre. I chose this because I can obtain my sports passion by keep fit in the force and I could also work behind the desk due to the capabilities I have in front of the keyboard.

What I hope to attain from the experience - Over the past 6 years at school, I have been brought up around the use of technology. This means, everyday at school, we get to learn on our own laptops. All the information we need at our fingertips and use of this all the way up to year 13. Even after that, we get to keep our devices (Acer Chromebooks) and make the most of them in Uni or in our everyday life. I am looking forward to this trip to Silicon Valley because it will have a huge impact on building my mind-set even bigger than it is now. It will also open the world to many more opportunities and give me connections from around the world.
