Toby Carr
Hey! My name is Toby. I am a last year highschool student come tech entrepreneur. I am excited to be heading to Silicon Valley, and more than happy to catch up about it after the trip. Feel free to keep up to date with what I get up to on my LinkedIn, Twitter and Instagram, my website for events and engagements: http://www.tobycarr.co.nz/. Always keen for a chat so be friendly!

Ever since I was 6 years old, I have loved creating. Whether this be in a hard materials form, or creating a new company, I love being able to start from scratch and see what happens when hard work, resources and people are pulled together. I started my first official company called DeXTech around two and a half years ago when I was 14. Today I still work full time with DeXTech and we provide technology solutions to the corporate and education sector - as well as commercial supply for retail purposes to many online and brick and mortar stores. Products I work with on a sales basis normally range from iPads to servers to iPhones to accessories.

My passions mainly lie within technology, business and social change & enterprise. Of late, I have been able to apply these passions in my everyday life, in work specifically. I love where possible - having the platform to mobilise change and make a difference where I can, especially in the area of changing the viewpoint that society has on young people. I am most commonly found either meeting with clients and suppliers, or at numerous startup & youth events. I recently delivered a TEDx talk around the idea of university not always being the best education the youth of our nation.

What I believe will be the most enjoyable experience for the Silicon Valley personally will being able to quantify the monster that is Silicon Valley. We hear all about the Valley all over the media and in the business world, but not often is such an experience available to go and look around the giants of the area. I am sure the trip will have massive impacts on my business and personal potential.
